We’re going on a Treasure Hunt: PAINTBRUSH
We’re going on a treasure hunt and we discovered…..A PAINTBRUSH! “Connecting with our ancestors can change our lives in surprising ways.” The Nauvoo Nest is a surprising way! It was one year ago that I discovered some of the land originally owned by 3rd great grandfather Bayles, and it was for sale! This summer the Nauvoo Nest earned a new floor, and we treated her to a spa day. She got her fingernails painted (the shutters and porch), received a haircut (shrubs got cut down) and put on a new outfit (new paint colors in the attic loft). Thank you Kim, Kelly, Lee and Bethany. As I was scrubbing up my paintbrush, I decided to let a few layers of paint dry on it. I want to always remember that along with the layer I now get to paint are layers others before me have painted. Together we make something of great beauty and great worth. I hope our treasure hunt will help you notice and reflect on the beauty of your own tree!
