We’re going on a Treasure Hunt…..”I’m not afraid.” That was exactly what hundreds of our ancestors felt while immigrating, pulling, pushing, walking side by side across this country to build homes in the west. Fossils, at Fossil Butte National Monument, skilled us in looking through layers of time to see footprints, the comparisons connecting the past with our present. It was a journal entry though, a written footprint about South Pass, Wyoming, that gave us our treasure today in a hunt across Wyoming. “The road has been pretty good the last few days. Prospect wild. Were it not for the lovely skies and pure atmosphere it would be bleak indeed, but they are something heavenly!” Thank you pioneer Hannah Tapfield King.
